Instant Desktop Notifier

The desktop notifier is a really useful application which makes Tangler even better. It is highly recommended, almost mandatory.

It works by popping up a small alert at the bottom or top right of your screen when a new message is posted in a topic that you are subscribed to. You can click on the alert and Tangler will take you immediately into the discussion so you can start talking to the other person.

The reverse side of this is when you post a message in Tangler and lots of other users get an instant alert and then they ’swarm’ into the conversation. Because of the swarming and real-time (really fast) discussion, it’s worth hanging around for a minute after you post something to see if someone drops by.

You can also get alerts when your friends come online or go offline and when you get new invitations for new friends or new groups, like this;

How to get the Tangler Desktop Notifier

You can get it from the home page after you log in or;

1. Click your operating system – Mac, Windows or Linux.
2. Install the application (find the file and open it).
3. Done!
