Google Good and Unknow Product Unsurprisingly Lame

Boot-legged

I’ve been thinking about a cool app I saw ages ago that let’s you put in a URL and then it takes a screenshot of it and gives you a URL for the screenshot. Nice, simple, useful. And I thought it might be a nice little tool for the Kool Fotographics group on Tangler.

But I couldn’t find it.

So I went to Google and thought, why don’t I just type what I want….

web based application enter URL takes screenshot of a web site

That was my query.

And I got it. Via another site, but I got it.

Goolge – nice job.

I was quite excited when I went to see URL2Image then I saw that they didn’t even have a trial. Not even a low res version. Lame……. And then I looked at the prices.

$1 an image. Whaaaa??? Are you shooting my wedding? (Anyone who can do my wedding at $1 a shot, please contact me…..)

Prices go down with volume, but that’s a big slug and I’m not sure if it’s worth it. Maybe they have got it right, but I felt that it could have gone big if they just set it free a bit.

Yeah?

FYI, other good Photography groups on Tangler;

* Microstock Photography
